Ashland Park Construction

Ashland’s new Charles and Betty Russell Park should be ready to welcome its first visitors this summer, if not before then. City commissioners last week authorized work to begin on the 45-acre nature preserve, which will include hiking or jogging trails.

Chuck Charles is the mayor of Ashland. He says phase one of the project should be completed in a couple of months…

Charles says there will be entrances and signage for the new park along Ashland and Hilton Avenues. The Russell Park is named after an Ashland couple who donated the land to the city in the 1970s.
