Bath County Injury Accident

A three-vehicle, chain reaction accident last night on Interstate-64 in Bath county left three people injured, including one critically.

Kentucky State Police say a car driven by 45-year-old Michelle Walters of Ashland was at a standstill near the 124-mile-marker on I-64 because of an earlier accident, when it was struck from behind by another vehicle piloted by 51-year-old Darinda Marriner of Morehead.  Shortly after that happened, Marriner’s auto was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Sarah Caudill of Owingsville.

Marriner was taken by helicopter from the scene to UK Medical Center where she is listed in critical condition.  Walters was treated at the scene, and Caudill was transported and to Saint-Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.  The accident remains under investigation.
