Construction Continues on MSU Multi-Purpose Facility

MSU

Construction continues on Morehead State's new outdoor multi-purpose facility, which will also be used as a soccer practice field.

It is being built in the Breathitt Sports Complex, adjacent to the Academic-Athletic Center and just west of Jayne Stadium.

Designed by Carman Landscape Architecture and being built by Free Construction Company, the facility will be primarily used for student activities and will contain field turf, lights and a scoreboard.

"This will give our program its own training ground," Head Soccer Coach Warren Lipka Said. "It really shows the commitment from President (Dr. Wayne D.) Andrews and (Athletic Director) Brian Hutchinson to our program and future MSU student-athletes."

The project is expected to be completed in time for the 2014-15 academic year.
