Dedication Set for Veterans Avenue, American Legion Way in Rowan County

Find The Company

The public is invited to join elected officials and guests Friday, July 1, for the dedication of two highway signs honoring Rowan County veterans.

In action by the 2016 General Assembly, state legislators have designated nearly six miles of KY 32 from the Fleming-Rowan county line to I-64 as “Veterans Avenue” and have designated KY 3531, which crosses KY 32 to Old Cranston Road in Morehead as “American Legion Way.”

The now-enacted law directs the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to place appropriate highway signs honoring those designations.

Veterans and elected officials will gather at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, at the American Legion hall on Old Cranston Road to unveil and dedicate the highway signs. All veterans and the public are invited to attend.
