Elliott County Road Project Underway

Governor Beshear was in Sandy Hook on Monday to help break ground for a 26.5 million dollar road reconstruction project. It involves the rebuilding of five miles of Kentucky 7 from just north of Kentucky State Route 706 to the Carter County line.

The governor says it’s the fourth and last phase of more than 60 million dollars in road work that’s taken place in Elliott County over the past two decades:

“This Kentucky 7 project has been going on a while now, about 16 years, and with this final phase, it’s going to be completed and it’s going to be great.”
