Eric C. Conn, the infamous former Kentucky attorney who went n the run after pleading guilty to a multi-million dollar social security fraud scheme detailed the six months he spent hiding from federal authorities in a letter to the Lexington-Herald Leader.
Conn's attorney, Scott White had urged his client not to send the letter, which lays out how he planned his escape and claimed a dog named Curly helped him cross the border into Mexico and that he entered Honduras with a fake fiance that he met on a bus.
White says he doesn't know if the details in the letter are fact or fiction. He's decided to transition off of the case.
Conn was facing 12-years in federal prison, now he's looking at a possible life sentence.
