Golden Alert For Jackson County Man

Officials in Jackson County have issued a Golden Alert for Pinkey Woods who was reported missing since Tuesday evening, August 6, 2013.

Pinky Woods is described as a white male, age 58, with grayish black hair, balding on top, approximately 6 feet tall and 165 pounds.  He was last seen at 1035 Wagers Lane in Tyner, Kentucky, wearing blue jeans and either a green plaid or blue plaid long sleeve shirt.

It is crucial he is located as soon as possible.  Mr. Woods requires daily medications.  If you see anyone fitting this description or know of his whereabouts, please call Jackson County Dispatch Center at (606) 287-9979 or local law authorities.

Paul Hitchcock earned his Masters in Communications from Morehead State University and Bachelors in Radio-TV/Psychology from Georgetown College. A veteran broadcaster for more than 40 years and an avid fan of blues, jazz and American roots music. Hitchcock has been with WMKY since 1986 and was named General Manager in 2003. He currently hosts "Muddy Bottom Blues" (Fri., 8pm-9pm), "Nothin' But The Blues" (Sat., 8pm-12am), "Sunday Night Jazz Showcase" and "Live From The Jazz Lounge" (Sun., 8pm-9pm) and "The Golden Age of Radio" (Sun., 2pm-3pm). He also serves as producer for "A Time For Tales" and "The Reader's Notebook."
