Morehead State junior forward Lamontray Harris has been selected to a preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference team by College Sports Madness.
Harris was tabbed to the third-team squad.
Last season, Harris played in all 30 games, with one start. He averaged 9.4 points and 5.2 rebounds a game. Harris ranked 20th in the OVC in rebounding (156 total rebounds). He registered two double-doubles (against Asbury on Dec. 28 and at Belmont on Feb. 18). He had a nice night with 20 points and seven rebounds at SEC foe Mississippi State, starting 7-of-8 from the floor before finishing 7-of-11. Harris also scored a career-high 22 points at Eastern Washington.
Harris came to Morehead State following a standout career at Louisville's Pleasure Ridge Park High School. He averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds as a senior in 2013-14, and he helped the Panthers to a 95-32 overall record in his career. PRP won the sixth region championships and advanced to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association's Sweet Sixteen his final two campaigns.
The 6-7, 220-pound athlete will help lead the Eagles into the 2017-18 campaign, which begins with an exhibition home game against Cincinnati Christian on Nov. 6. Tickets for Morehead State basketball are on sale now at MSUEagles.com/Tix.
