KY 32 Road Project to Begin in Rowan County

A major improvement of Kentucky 32 north of Morehead will get underway later this month.

Kentucky Department of Highways spokesman Allen Blair says just over two miles of the road will be re-paved with wider shoulders and culvert extensions.

Blair says the project is expected to cost about three million dollars.

“What people will see, especially in April when the construction begins as far as the highway is one lane at a time will be milled down and then replaced with newer blacktop and stabilizing the roadway. That will help, in terms of stabilizing the roadway for future traffic, improving the lifetime of that roadway.”

Blair says the work will take place between the Fleming County line and the Parks Hills Drive intersection.
