A group of Kentuckians is appealing to state lawmakers to support legalizing medical marijuana. Debbie McGrath is director of the Epilepsy Foundation of Kentucky. McGrath testified Wednesday before the Senate Health and Welfare Committee. She says Kentuckians are leaving the state to acquire cannabis oil for the treatment of loved ones who have epilepsy.
The committee is gathering information on a medical marijuana bill sponsored by State Senator Perry Clark, a Louisville Democrat.
