The Morehead State men's tennis team claimed its third consecutive win Saturday (Feb. 22), defeating the visiting Lipscomb Bisons 5-2 at Sadler Courts.
The Eagles moved to 3-2, while LU dropped to 1-4.
MSU got doubles victories on courts one and three to nail down the opening point. At No. 3, freshman Gabriel Ruiz and sophomore Giovanni Samaha ousted Daniel Hernandez and Nacor Ibanez 8-2. MSU also collected singles wins at Nos. two, five and six. Ruiz topped Ibanez 6-0, 6-1 on court six. Senior David Clifford edged Hernandez 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) at No. 5.
