Concrete pavement repairs and closure of the eastbound I-64 rest area in Rowan County have been rescheduled to start Thursday, and will now take place during daytime hours this week.
Beginning at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, the eastbound rest area at mile marker 141 near Morehead will close, and will remain closed until 6 p.m. that night. Closures will continue nightly through Friday or until work is complete. The westbound I-64 rest area will not be affected.
Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
