A Remote Area Medical Clinic planned in Morehead for October 25th and 26th will be held, though its location will have to be changed…That’s according to an official with RAM USA. Chris Hall is chief operating officer for the publicly-supported, all-volunteer program.
Morehead State University announced Thursday it has decided not to serve as community host of the event and the Rowan County School District will not make its middle school available for those two days. MSU and the Rowan schools say there were unresolved issues concerning liability insurance and scheduling.
Hall says the liability questions are new for RAM. He says they haven’t been a problem anywhere else…
Hall says another location will be secured and announced soon. The RAM clinic intends to offer free medical, dental and vision care for adults and children in need during its Morehead event.
