MSU President's Contract Extended

Morehead State University

Morehead State University’s Board of Regents has extended the contract of President Wayne Andrews through June of 2018 and increased his pay by 80-thousand dollars over the next two years.

That’ll bring the president’s compensation to slightly less than 345-thousand dollars, which the Regents say is the mean salary for the heads of four-year public universities in Kentucky.

Dr. Andrews says he’s delighted by the vote of confidence because it’s a reflection on the entire MSU team.

“We’ve got great vice-presidents, deans, directors, department chairs and other leaders on campus. We’re all moving together and the university’s moving forward, so, that affirmation is really important to me.” –Wayne Andrews

MSU Board of Regents Chair Paul Goodpaster says Andrews has provided exceptional leadership at MSU and exceeded many of the goals the board set for him.
