For the second straight week, Morehead State freshman guard Miranda Crockett has been named the OVC Freshman of the Week.
Last week against Georgia State, Crockett became the third player in the NCAA this season to record a triple-double. She accumulated 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists in the 99-90 victory over the Panthers, helping the Eagles to their first road win of the year.
Her performance against No. 13 Kentucky also brought added attention as the 5'8" guard scored 14 points and snatched eight rebounds against a much taller Wildcat squad.
Crockett finished the week with 29 points, 20 rebounds, 13 assists, and four steals over two games. In her first five games as an Eagle, she leads the team with 5.8 assists-per-game, and ranks second with 16.0 points and 7.8 rebounds-per-game.
Morehead State hits the road this weekend to face Chicago State on Saturday and Miami (OH) on Sunday.
