MSU's Eagle Vision To Showcase Football, Volleyball, Soccer

The Morehead State athletic department's video operation, Eagle Vision, is scheduled to webcast 21 fall athletic events on the Ohio Valley Conference Digital Network (OVCDigitalNetwork.com). The video streaming site is free and requires no registration.

Weather permitting, all seven home football games will be available on the network. The Eagles are set to host Pikeville (Aug. 29), Eastern Kentucky (Sept. 21), Davidson (Sept. 28), Dayton (Oct. 26), San Diego (Nov. 9), Butler (Nov. 9) and Charlotte (Nov. 23) this season.

Weather permitting, five home soccer matches will also be shown on the video streaming platform. The soccer webcast schedule includes match-ups with Akron (Aug. 30), Northern Kentucky (Sept. 6), Xavier (Sept. 15), Belmont (Oct. 27) and Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 1).

The volleyball webcast slate includes dates with Marshall (Sept. 4), IUPUI (Sept. 7), Montana State (Sept. 7), West Virginia (Sept. 13), Campbell (Sept. 14), Eastern Kentucky (Oct. 2), Jacksonville State (Oct. 18), Tennessee Tech (Oct. 19) and Tennessee State (Nov. 8). Morehead State has won each of the last three OVC regular-season volleyball titles and hosted the league tournament each time. The Eagles also participated in the 2011 NCAA Tournament.

All events on the OVCDN will feature audio play-by-play, multiple cameras, replays and graphics. Links will be available via each sport's schedule page on MSUEagles.com or the site's front page.

Football audio is provided by the Eagle Sports (Radio) Network. Chuck Mraz will call the play-by-play, while Jason Blanton serves as the analyst and Mike Williams is the sideline reporter. Mraz, who serves as the news director for MSU's 50,000-watt public radio station (WMKY, 90.3FM), is in his 25th year as "Voice of the Eagles." He has won numerous broadcasting awards over the years.

Blanton, who serves as the university's director of media relations, is a 2002 MSU graduate. He has been involved with Eagle athletics in a variety of roles since his days as a student. Williams, a broadcast journalism major from Hillsboro, Ohio, currently serves as the studio host for National Public Radio's "Morning Edition" on WMKY, where he works with Mraz.

Angela McGuire, the wife of MSU Head Baseball Coach Mike McGuire, is in her second year calling volleyball play-by-play. McGuire played collegiately at Troy (Ala.) and Saint Francis (Ill.). She later served as head coach at Queens (N.C.), Lander (S.C.) and Converse (S.C.).

The soccer play-by-play announcer is still to be announced.

Morehead State is in the third year of its athletics video operation. Eagle Vision is led by Daniel Becker, who is in his second year as a graduate assistant. The 10-person crew also includes returning students Jasmine Cole, Ji Heo, Caleb Noe, Robert Reed and Ainsley Turner.
