A 50-year old man who was hit by a Lexington officer driving a police cruiser Wednesday morning has died.
It happened around 2:30 in the morning on Euclid Avenue near Woodland. The man was rushed to UK's ER but died shortly after the accident. The road was shut down for hours so accident reconstruction teams could investigate. The officer was uninjured. He was not responding to a call when the man was hit.
