Provost to step down

The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Morehead State University announced Wednesday that he intends to step down at the end of June 2018.

Dr. Steve Ralston says he is proud of the work his team has done to improve academics at the university. He says the creation of the winter session and a new master’s degree program in nursing are particularly exciting.

Ralston says he spoke with MSU President Jay Morgan about his wishes to step down just before the thanksgiving break.

Ralston says his decision to step down is purely personal, and he plans to move closer to his family in Virginia.
