Radcliff Veterans Center Progressing

Office of Kentucky Veterans Centers

Kentucky’s fourth nursing home for veterans should be completed about a year from now, according to the new director of those facilities for the State Department of Veterans Affairs Mark Bowman.

He visited the construction site of the Radcliff Veterans Center this week and says the community has really embraced the project.

“We’re developing the relationships with both the community and the VSO’s in that area. We’ve had a staff member that went up and spent some time with the Small Business Association. The DAV has called and I’m gonna go up and they want to adopt that facility and we’ve had such a tremendous outpour from the community.” –Mark Bowman

When it is finished, the more than 20-million dollar RVC will provide 120 veterans with a private room and bath, family-style living room, dining room, kitchen and patio. Recreation, therapy and other services will be available in a separate administration building.
