The Reader’s Notebook: Walter Williams

November 14, 2017 -- Walter Washington Green Williams was an American man who said that he was a forager for Hood's Brigade and thus the last surviving veteran of the American Civil War. The claim is controversial, however. Although he said that he was born in 1842, census records indicated that he was still a child when the war ended in 1865.

Greg Jenkins has been the Operations Director at MSPR since 1999. Greg is a 1996 graduate of Morehead State University with a BME in Music Education and received a Masters of Science in Industrial Technology in 2008. Greg oversees training, scheduling, and evaluation of the student board operator staff, preparation of the daily traffic logs and serves as weekday classical music host.
