Screening Committee Sets Timeline For Choosing New Rowan Superintendent

The process of finding a replacement for retiring Rowan County School Superintendent Marvin Moore continues tonight.

That’s when the screening committee, which is reviewing applications for the position, will meet again.  The group initially began with 16 resumes to consider.

School Board Chairman Rick Whelan heads the screening committee and says the panel is working to have a list of finalists for the post after its meeting next Tuesday…

Current Rowan Superintendent Marvin Moore is retiring on June 30th.   Whelan says the plan is to have Moore’s replacement on-board around May 1st.
