Sister Duo to Perform on Kentucky Opry

Billie Jean Osborne’s Kentucky Opry’s special guests on July 23 will be the Floyd County sister duo of Teddi Leigh Cyrus and Jo Pack Hall.

Both are former members of the Kentucky Opry organization, and helped catapult it into what it is today. Cyrus was picked to join the Kentucky Opry Jr. Pros in 1991, at the early age of 13. She left in 1997. Hall joined in 1997, also a youngster, at the age of 16. She was promoted to the Kentucky Opry in 2000, before leaving in 2002.

Recently, they have teamed together to form the popular powerful duo JoLeigh. They have performed on various stages throughout the state and the south.

“We are so happy they thought of us to come back and perform! We love the MAC and its always great playing there.” Said Cyrus.

Clayton Case, Kentucky Opry emcee is excited to get to perform with them again.

“Teddi and Jo are top notch vocalists. They will add so much with their performances. We are excited to have them on stage with the rest of the band,” said Case.

This weekend’s show will be Saturday, July 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg, Ky.
