State Rep Keith Hall on LNG, CNG Fleets

State Representative Keith Hall says he hopes more businesses and governments with busses convert their fleets from diesel fuel to liquefied or compressed natural gas, even though the state tax on specialty fuels is five-cents higher.

The Pike County Democrat says the organizations will still come out ahead because LNG and CNG fuels are less expensive and the busses will get better mileage. He says that doesn’t even factor in the environmental benefits…

"I hope in Kentucky we see a movement going in that direction...for green, less pollution...using our in-gas in this state, severance and all the taxes paid. No pollution as well as the extra money we would pay into the road fund." - Keith Hal

Hall is a member of the House Transportation Committee and made his comments during a hearing this afternoon in Frankfort.
