'Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me' moves to 11 a.m.

“Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me” is moving to a new time slot on Morehead State Public Radio (WMKY 90.3FM).

Beginning Saturday, June 7, the program can be heard at 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Now in its 14th season, the Peabody Award-winning show uses current news stories for questions and comedy segments. Host Peter Sagal, along with official judge and scorekeeper Carl Kasell, leads a rotating panel of comedians, humorists and journalists, listener contestants and celebrity guests through a comic review of the week’s news.

Sagal quizzes the panelists and listeners to determine just how closely they paid attention to the week's news. He serves up questions in all forms: lightning rounds, multiple choice, identify the “fake” stories, and fill-in-the-blank limericks.

Rotating panelists guest on the program each week. Regulars include advice columnist Amy Dickinson, Washington Post columnist Roxanne Roberts, author P.J. O’Rourke, comedian Paula Poundstone and humorist Mo Rocca.

“Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me” is a co-production of NPR and Chicago Public Radio. The program debuted nationally in 1998 and has established itself as a weekend favorite.

Morehead State Public Radio broadcasts 24 hours a day from the campus of Morehead State University. WMKY (90.3 FM) serves as the flagship station for the MSPR network, which includes translator (88.3 FM) in Inez. MSPR serves more than 20 counties in Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia.

Information is available by calling MSPR at 606-783-2001 or log on to www.wmky.org.
