Camp SMILE Registrations Now Accepted

St. Claire Regional Medical Center

Camp SMILE, a free bereavement camp for children ages 7-17, is a collaborative of St. Claire Regional (SCR) Hospice and Palliative Care and the Morehead State University Department of Nursing.

The camp serves as a safe environment that helps children explore and understand feelings of grief and loss. In addition to bereavement counseling, campers will spend the weekend enjoying activities such as swimming, archery, hiking and crafts, and will each receive a free T-shirt.

Camp SMILE will be hosted at Four Seasons Christian Center, Camp Lyons, in Bath County Friday, April 29, through Sunday, May 1.

To register, contact SCR social workers: Melanie Hurst at 606.783.6808 or mahurst@st-claire.org; or Tiffany Fannin at 606.783.6895 or tmfannin@st-claire.org. Space is limited.

Applications will be screened to ensure target level of provided intervention.
