The Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Commission will conduct a special called meeting Aug. 17 in Frankfort to consider the fiscal year 2019 budget and other items.
The special called meeting will start at 1 p.m. EDT and will follow the Commission’s regular committee meetings, which are scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. EDT.
The committee meetings and special called meeting will be held at the Arnold Mitchell Building on the campus of Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources headquarters in Frankfort.
At its special called meeting, the Commission will consider a proposed Fiscal Year 2018-2019 budget for approval.
Other items on the agenda include:
•A proposed waiver or discount of youth sportsman’s licenses for youth hunter recruitment initiatives during Fiscal Year 2018-2019
•A proposed partnership with the University of Tennessee on a quail research project at Blue Grass Army Depot
•Meeting in executive session to review potential land acquisition and to discuss a personnel issue. If any actions are necessitated by executive session deliberations, meeting afterwards in open session.
Most Commission actions must be approved by legislators before they become law.
