Rep Says Arnold Resignation Likely

A Western Kentucky lawmaker who has been accused of sexual harassment is likely to resign soon…that’s what one of his colleagues told Insight Cable’s Pure Politics Wednesday. State Representative Tom Riner of Louisville appeared on the television program to discuss the complaints brought against Sturgis legislator John Arnold.

Riner says he and House Speaker Greg Stumbo talked about the matter this week…

"He’s in agreement with me that that would be the best outcome…and we believe that…it may happen very soon." - Tom Riner

Riner tells Pure Politics he doesn’t think there’s a need for a hearing on the issue because Representative Arnold has not denied the allegations. Three female staffers on the Legislative Research Commission have filed complaints against Arnold, accusing him of inappropriate behavior over the past three years.
