Rowan gets Assessment Scores

Even with three schools on the Target Support and Improvement list, Rowan County’s school district met or outranked the state’s cut scores in all areas.The Kentucky Department of Education released student assessment scores for all public schools on Wednesday. District Assessment Coordinator Allison Matthews says results in certain sub groups caused one elementary school, as well as the middle and high schools, to receive the T-S-I designation.  District Assessment Coordinator Allison MatthewsMathews says the data provided to the district will allow educators to reevaluate how they approach education opportunities in that subgroup.   The schools are planning to continue with more individualized learning opportunities for students this year.
