Fleming man indicted for 39 year old crime

A Fleming County man has been indicted for multiple charges of rape and incest he allegedly committed more than 30 years ago.The grand jury handed down an indictment for 69-year old William Hilterbrand on Friday.  According to the indictment, Hilterbrand is charged with seven counts of rape of a victim under 12 years old, 9 counts of sodomy with a victim under 12 years old, 5 counts of incest with a victim under 12 years old, 2 counts of rape by forcible compulsion, 2 counts of sodomy by forcible compulsion, and 2 counts of incest with a victim under the age of 18.  The crimes are estimated to have happened between 1979 and 1992.   Hilterbrand is being held in the Mason County Detention center on a $500-thousand dollar bond.  He is scheduled to appear in Fleming Circuit Court on November 2.
