Monday, January 18, 2016 — A murder trial scheduled to begin in early February in Fleming County has been postponed till a later date. Morehead councilman Tom Carew says there should be higher fees for out-of-town residents to participate in recreational programs sponsored by the city…and Doctor Martin Luther King is honored today in activities taking place throughout Kentucky. Tuesday, January 19, 2016 — The Gateway Homeless Shelter in Morehead is opening a warming center this evening for people who need refuge from the frigid temperatures. Ashland’s city manager says the water system is much better prepared to handle weather-related troubles this winter…and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet holds a meeting at Elliott County High School tonight to discuss plans to improve State Route 7 in Morgan and Elliott Counties. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is preparing to battle more severe winter weather. Greg Jenkins has been the Operations Director at MSPR since 1999. Greg is a 1996 graduate of Morehead State University with a BME in Music Education and received a Masters of Science in Industrial Technology in 2008. Greg oversees training, scheduling, and evaluation of the student board operator staff, preparation of the daily traffic logs and serves as weekday classical music host. He is also the webmaster of the MSPR website and maintains MSPR's webstreaming and podcasting.
