Monday, February 1, 2016 — A boil water advisory remains in effect in Maysville following a couple of water line breaks last weekend. An investigation continues into the cause of a fatal fire in Montgomery County Saturday…and State Senator Steve West is co-sponsoring a bill to enhance computer science programs in Kentucky schools.Tuesday, February 2, 2016 — A small satellite built at Morehead State University will be onboard a rocket NASA is planning to launch into deep space in 2018. Governor Bevin’s budget director defends his boss’s 21-billion dollar budget plan today before a House committee…and Kentucky school districts of innovation would get additional flexibility on testing their students if a bill introduced in the House becomes law. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 — Kentucky’s new energy secretary says he does not expect a resurgence of the coal industry in eastern Kentucky anytime soon. An Ashland business has been named one of the five best places in Kentucky to work…and the mayor of Fort Thomas tells Kentucky lawmakers his city should be permitted to keep its ban on pit bulls. Thursday, February 4, 2016 — A House committee has defeated a bill that would have exempted school construction projects from Kentucky’s prevailing wage law. State Representative Kevin Sinnette of Ashland says he doesn’t know how 47-million dollars can be cut from the judicial system over the next two years….and International Paper says 2015 was one of its best years ever. Greg Jenkins has been the Operations Director at MSPR since 1999. Greg is a 1996 graduate of Morehead State University with a BME in Music Education and received a Masters of Science in Industrial Technology in 2008. Greg oversees training, scheduling, and evaluation of the student board operator staff, preparation of the daily traffic logs and serves as weekday classical music host. He is also the webmaster of the MSPR website and maintains MSPR's webstreaming and podcasting.
