Monday, February 22. 2016 — Governor Matt Bevin says he’s seeking increases in funding for drug treatment programs in each of the next two years because of the seriousness of the problem in Kentucky. Aberdeen has a new police chief…and an animal rights activist says Kentucky needs stronger laws against dog fighting. Tuesday, February 23, 2016 — A single vehicle accident in Magoffin County has killed a 44-year-old man. Kentucky’s Education and Workforce Development Cabinet Secretary says the state’s shortage of skilled labor is hurting its economic development prospects…and Kentucky’s coal counties appeal for help from the state legislature. Wednesday, February 24, 2016 — A new report says there are significant regional differences in access to dental health care services in Kentucky. A Senate committee has recommended passage of a bill that calls for amending the Kentucky Constitution to require consideration of changes to circuit and district court boundaries every ten years…and Pike County State Representative Leslie Combs says the loss of coal severance tax revenues has made it even more difficult for Kentucky’s coal producing counties to diversify their economies. Greg Jenkins has been the Operations Director at MSPR since 1999. Greg is a 1996 graduate of Morehead State University with a BME in Music Education and received a Masters of Science in Industrial Technology in 2008. Greg oversees training, scheduling, and evaluation of the student board operator staff, preparation of the daily traffic logs and serves as weekday classical music host. He is also the webmaster of the MSPR website and maintains MSPR's webstreaming and podcasting.
