Former MSU Basketball Player Indicted

A former Morehead State University basketball player has been indicted on rape charges.30-year-old Brent Arrington was arrested on July 8.  According to the indictment, Arrington is charged with third-degree rape of a 14-year-old child. The charge is a Class D felony, punishable by one to five years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.He was released on a $10-thousand-dollar cash bond on July 13^th. The Maryland native transferred to Morehead State for the 2013 season from Mississippi Valley State. He played for Morehead for 3 seasons and played professionally in Europe. He also served as a member of the MSU basketball staff for a short time but left before the 2021-22 season.    His linked in profile indicates that he is the owner of Metro Buckets Basketball, a youth basketball training business that has been operational in Morehead since 2017.It is unclear if he has been served with the indictment.  An arraignment date has not yet been set.
