Blue & Gold Tip-off Celebration Set for November 16
Morehead State Athletics will officially tip off the 2026-27 basketball season with an evening of celebration, connection and Eagle pride at the second annual Blue & Gold Tip-Off Celebration, presented by Morehead State University Athletics.
Set for Monday, Nov. 16, at 6 p.m. in the Adron Doran University Center’s Luckey Ballroom, the formal evening will feature a pre-dinner reception with the men’s and women’s basketball teams, a special dinner and program, recognition of our Eagle championship team, a Q&A with coaches and players, and a live auction featuring exclusive Eagle experiences.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet Eagle student-athletes, collect exclusive trading cards and get autographs during the reception ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Following the reception, guests will enjoy a formal dinner and program featuring a special message from Director of Athletics Kelly Wells and a dynamic Q&A with basketball coaches and players. The conversation will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming season, including the teams’ goals, experiences and expectations as they prepare to take the court.
The evening will also feature a live auction with exclusive Eagle experiences, giving guests the opportunity to bid on unique opportunities such as dinner with basketball head coaches, a private meal at Kelly Wells‘ home, VIP team travel experiences and more.
More than a celebration of the upcoming season, the event provides an opportunity to invest in the future of Eagle Athletics. Proceeds benefit the Blue & Gold Alliance, helping empower student-athletes and provide additional support for the university’s athletic programs.
A variety of sponsorship and seating options are available for the Blue & Gold Tip-Off Celebration, with opportunities for individuals, families and businesses to be part of the evening:
- Eagle Corporate Table — $2,000: Eight guests plus two MSU student-athletes, premium table placement, event recognition, opportunity to request guest players, and a signed jersey and basketball.
- Gold Corporate Table — $1,500: Eight guests plus two MSU student-athletes, premium table placement, event recognition, and a signed jersey.
- Blue Corporate Table — $1,000: Eight guests, standard table placement and event recognition.
- Soaring Half Table — $500: Four guests, standard table placement and event recognition.
- Individual Ticket — $125: Reserved seating and standard table placement. Limited availability.
All sponsorship opportunities include event recognition and digital marketing. Guests are encouraged to dress in formal evening wear for the celebration.
