Audio Always an Eagle: Jesse Wells

This episode features an Eagle who has music in his blood and Morehead State in his bones. Jesse Wells, Class of 2007, grew up in a deeply musical family and picked up the mandolin at age five. That early passion led him to MSU and the Kentucky Center for Traditional Music, where he helped preserve Appalachian sounds and mentored young musicians. Now, he’s sharing that heritage on a global stage as a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with Tyler Childers & the Food Stamps. Jesse also recorded a few songs just for our podcast—and we’re thrilled to welcome him.
