Morehead’s Old Time Music Festival, July 26th and 27th

Morehead’s Old Time Music Festival takes place this weekend just east of the city. The celebration of traditional music features fiddle, dulcimer and banjo contests, as well as music workshops.

Nathan Kiser is the festival’s operations manager…“With our workshops, we just like to teach people that are interested in traditional music. All the workshops are free…we do have cash prizes for the contests, so we want to get people involved and give them the opportunity to share their music.” – Nathan Kiser
